Claire Sciandra

(She/Her) Accepting New Clients

I specialize in providing support to adolescents, young adults, and adults as they navigate the challenges and transitions of life. I am particularly passionate about working with individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and the unique challenges that can come with navigating relationships, identity, self-esteem, and major life transitions. I also have a special interest in supporting individuals living with chronic illness, recognizing the ways that physical health can impact emotional well-being, relationships, identity, and everyday life. In addition, I enjoy working with young women as they navigate transitions in identity, relationships, independence, and adulthood.

I believe therapy should honor the whole person. My approach is grounded in holistic, trauma-informed care, taking into consideration the interconnectedness of emotional, physical, relational, and environmental well-being. I value incorporating somatic therapeutic approaches to help clients develop greater awareness of the mind-body connection, understand how experiences can be held in the body, and build a stronger sense of safety and connection within themselves.

I tailor treatment to each client's unique needs and goals, drawing from evidence-based and integrative approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and other trauma-informed modalities. For clients who desire it, I also welcome the integration of faith and spirituality into the therapeutic process.

Building a genuine and trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. I want my clients to feel safe bringing their whole selves into the therapy room, without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. My goal is to walk alongside clients as they better understand themselves, navigate difficult experiences, reconnect with their bodies, build resilience, and develop tools that support a life that feels authentic and meaningful to them.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, admiring art, discovering new coffee shops, and staying connected to my community!
